Industry Focus
The CACT @ the North Orange Community College District, was established to enhance the strength and competitiveness of California’s small to medium-sized manufacturing and technology-based companies and its current and future workforce; through technology transfer, continuous process improvement, and workforce empowerment.
The NOCCCD CACT has evolved into the area’s resource for customized, industry-specific training in:
- Advanced and environmentally conscious manufacturing processes
- Workforce development
- Vocational English-as-a-Second Language (VESL) for Advanced Manufacturing
- Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing, and in new and emerging technologies.
The NOCCCD CACT’s primary industry focus is printing and Flexography (label manufacturing) but it also provides training in machine technology, welding, construction, and engineering.
The NOCCCD CACT, through its Demonstration Site at Fullerton College, provides industry certification, credit classes and training in Printing Technology, and Flexography/Label Manufacturing—Fullerton’s Printing Technology Program is the only community college-based printing program left in Southern California.
